Job Summary:
The Maintenance Associate assists the Maintenance Manager in the safe and accurate maintenance and repair of all Clarity Output Solutions (COS) equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Associate understands the mechanical/electrical operations of production equipment. The Maintenance Associate assists with creating and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for all COS equipment. This position is a security role and will be given access to Clarity's System and network and thus is responsible for ensuring proprietary and PHI information remain protected in digital and hardcopy form. The Maintenance Associate provides guidance to the production team by communicating with machine operators daily. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Functions
  • Trains new and current Operator-Maintenance Technicians in machine and facility maintenance and safe equipment operation.
  • Reviews equipment operation to improve current standards and increase efficiency.
  • Services, repairs, adjusts, and tests machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment used in production processes.
  • Works closely with Technicians to troubleshoot and make improvements to machines to sustain high output volume levels.
  • Observes equipment in operation to detect potential problems. Works with co-workers to understand any existing issues.
  • Assigned work tickets to prioritize repairs and modifications needed.
  • Repairs or replaces worn, damaged or defective parts.
  • Reassembles machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
  • Assist in the inventory of machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
  • Monitors and reviews information from materials, events and/or the environment to detect or assess problems.
  • Maintains preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.
  • Performs routine maintenance on equipment and assists in determining when and what type of maintenance is needed.
  • Maintains organized tool assets to ensure necessary tools are available and in operational conditions.
•Performs basic facility repairs and maintenance.
•Works with third party vendors for additional facility repairs.
•Ensures proper operation of all safety devices on all equipment.
•Understands and fully utilizes lock out tag out system.
•Conducts weekly interviews with operators to determine overall operational health of equipment.
•Performs general housekeeping including general upkeep both in and outside of the facility, trash/waste removal, and general assistance.
•Other duties as assigned by management.

Education Required
•High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge & Experience
  • 10+ years of previous machine maintenance required, preferably in a production environment.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance required.
  • Basic math and reading skills required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.
  • Wide knowledge base involving mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic plumbing and electrical experience required.

Physical Demands
•Ability to safely lift up to 75lbs.
