Associate Account Manager

POSITION SCOPE
Woodland Pulp LLC is searching for an Associate Accounting Manager who will be responsible for providing accounting support for the pulp and paper operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analytical support for the pulp and paper operations.
• Supervising the hourly payroll function.
• Learn mill operations to be able to influence positive economic changes.
• Involved with monthly closing responsibilities, financial forecasting, reporting, and analyzing performance measurements.
• Play a lead coordination role in budget development and review.
• Monitoring internal controls in accordance with GAAP.
• Precisely input data into our systems from various sources and computer programs
• Scrutinize and validate data for inconsistencies and errors.
• Uphold data integrity and confidentiality.
• Organize and prioritize data entry tasks to meet deadlines.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work.
• Assist in developing and implementing data entry processes and procedures.
• Generate necessary reports and summaries.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• A mastery knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically including the use of Excel.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and present technical information using practical judgment.
• Capable of functioning effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent typing speed with high accuracy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to organize and manage concurrent activities.
• Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis and other data entry practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy, as well as a solid understanding of internal controls.
• Proficient customer service / communication skills.
EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
• Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, or Financial related background.
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in a position of similar requirements / processes.
• CPA preferred or directly report to a CPA.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Includes working in an office, as well as working with operations within the plant.
• Includes following detailed mill safety and environmental procedures.
• The company will provide training regarding union contracts, and various reporting software used to include meeting environmental and safety objectives.
• There is also room for advancement or changing of work area, if so desired. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.
