The Link & Option Center, Inc. (TLOC) is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) and a pillar in the Southland region with locations in South Holland and Hazel Crest, Illinois.  TLOC was founded in 1995 by Dr. Twin Green, a local Black leader who remains our President & CEO, in response to struggles her teenage son was having due to negative forces in the community. TLOC provides an integrated system of care for children, adolescents, and adults that includes assessment and linkage to primary care, psychiatry, case management, crisis assessment and stabilization, and individual and family therapy/counseling. TLOC also operates a master’s degree level Internship Program that is specifically designed for BIPOC students in social work, marriage and family therapy, and psychology. TLOC is seeking a licensed clinician (LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC) with clinical supervisory experience to lead this new initiative. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
The Internship Coordinator has overall responsibility for the operation of the Internship Program including developing evidenced based curriculum, interviewing, and selecting students, coordinating with other similar programs, marketing the Program, and supervising Interns. 
 
Specific Duties:
 
Develop the training curriculum for a two-semester clinical internship in evidence-based therapy.
 
Develop relationships with master’s degree programs in evidence based therapy and professional societies of social workers, counselors and family therapists to market the availability of the Internship Program and to identify BIPOC students who may qualify for the Internship Program;
 
Work with TLOC purchasing agent to ensure the Purchase of equipment and supplies as necessary for the conduct of the Internship Program;
 
Interview and select BIPOC students who meet the criteria for the Internship Program at least annually.
 
Coordinate the evidence-based therapy services provided through the Internship Program to IHPA member organizations.
 
Oversee the operations of the Internship Program, including but not limited to providing evaluations of students participating in the Internship Program to their master’s degree programs.
 
Market the Internship Program to appropriate master’s degree programs, professional societies and State and local government officials.
 
Coordinate with other internship coordinators sponsored by IHPA to develop a system for allocating the evidence-based therapy services of the Internship Program among Participating Providers throughout the State of Illinois.
 
Provide reports on Internship Program activities to TLOC leadership on a quarterly/semi-annual/annual basis.
 
Provide a report to IHPA on Internship Program activities, including but not limited to evidence-based therapy services provided, in a form mutually agreed to between the Parties.
 
Provide weekly individual and group supervision to Interns.
 
Provide evidence-based therapy services to IHPA-attributed Medicaid beneficiaries when not otherwise engaged in Internship Program operations.
 
         
Qualifications and Education Requirements

.         Master’s degree in social work, psychology or marriage and Family Therapy.
·         Licensed in Illinois as a LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
·         1-3 years of supervisory experience preferred. New licensees will be considered.
·         Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapies.
·         High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including clients, staff, and others.
·         Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external providers.
·         Demonstrated ability to accept constructive criticism and feedback from peers and supervisor.
·         Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
·         Must be culturally competent, empathetic, and able to interact and develop rapport with a diversified population.
