Job description

Position Purpose:

This position works closely with the Information Services Supervisor to collect, communicate in written form, and disseminate relevant information to all AWM, Charis, GTN, Truth & Liberty, ARMI, and World Outreach employees using the SharePoint platform and staff emails. The position also works closely with various departments across the organization to ensure employees have the most up-to-date Staff, Product, and TV Station information needed for their tasks. They also ensure that information on the Employee Hub, our staff intranet site, is up-to-date and accurate. Other tasks are assigned outside this scope as deemed necessary by the Manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Write staff articles for the Employee Hub to inform and educate staff about relevant Ministry updates and other important information. The goal would be to write approximately 60% of Employee Hub articles.
  • Schedule and conduct Interviews with staff from across the Ministry via email, Teams, Zoom, or in-person meetings to obtain the information needed for Employee Hub news articles.
  • Write and proofread the content, tone, and format of all mass emails sent to Ministry employees.
  • Provide customer service and intranet support with clear, courteous communication and thehighest quality, fielding miscellaneous requests and questions, often regarding emails, articles, or video, picture, or SharePoint resources.
  • Update information regarding TV stations, including but not limited to: managing station contracts, communicating with relevant departments via email about station changes, submitting upcoming broadcast information to Integrity Media to ensure compliance with TBN station requirements, maintaining the Television Station database, completing Marketing Request Forms to inform our viewing audience about station changes, and updating the awmi.net website.
  • Attend Product, Marketing, Project Management, Conference, and other department meetings to gather information necessary for the Employee Hub or staff emails.
  • Assist the Information Services Specialist in updating the Staff Directory and Product Database, as needed.
  • Meet weekly with the Information Services Supervisor to receive ongoing training and coaching.
  • Meet weekly with the Information Services Manager and team to discuss priorities and assignments to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.
  • Serves as a backup to the supervisor as needed.
  • Perform other activities and duties as necessary or assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong and professional communication skills-both oral and written-as well as effective interpersonal skills, including active listening abilities.
  • Must have the ability to operate a Windows-based computer and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills are essential, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong capacity to manage multiple tasks at the same time and transition between them efficiently.
  • Manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A degree in Communications or a related field is preferred, or 2-3 years of equivalent work experience in Communications.
  • A Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online is a plus.
  • Experience professionally representing a company, both one-on-one and company-wide.
  • A minimum of 1 year of administrative experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a customer service role is required.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
