North American commodity chemical marketer/trader/broker is looking to fill a home-based Sales Representative position in the Northeast. Good locations for this will be Eastern PA, NJ, or the Southern Tier of NY. The position is focused on selling heavy liquid inorganic chemicals throughout the Northeast Region of the USA. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing and entrepreneurial chemical company. The income opportunity is solid, and there are opportunities for advancement in the future. The overnight travel could be up to 25%.
Responsibilities: Sell a narrow range of commodity liquid inorganic chemicals to multiple end use markets throughout the region. Sell truckload & drum volumes on a commercial level. Manage and grow all existing business. Prospect for and develop new accounts and new business opportunities. Manage the territory sales strategy. Communicate effectively with management. Travel overnight as needed.
Requirements: 5+ years of chemical industry sales experience. Prefer commodity chemical experience with a producer or distributor. A Bachelor’s Degree is required, but the concentration is open. Strong sales skills, excellent communication skills, team player, a high level of self-motivation & drive. A good marketplace understanding of all the players and supply chain. Ability to grasp the “big picture” of the territory. Solid computer skills.

Compensation: Base: $140,000 - $160,000 commensurate with experience. Annual Bonus: 15% - 20% of base salary is a realistic range.
