Work Location:
Remote position. Preferred candidates will reside in Florida or Georgia, ideally within a major metropolitan area.

Position Overview:

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and growing share in the territory, by expanding sales of existing customers and developing new business opportunities within the territory.

Remains current on market conditions which impact the region and use the information to anticipate market changes for Sun, our customers, and our customers' customers. The role will orchestrate resources to gain the necessary support to meet our customers' needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • All sales activities are related to their assigned accounts.
  • Developing a consultative, value-added strategy to optimize opportunities for growth within the territory.
  • Collaborating with internal resources including Manufacturing, Product Management, Technical Service, Regulatory and Customer Service to provide the highest standard of service.
  • Function as a gateway to the depth and breadth of Sun Chemical's market leading technology for Inks, Coatings, Consumables and next-generation sustainable products and technologies.
  • Learn and understand the Customers Operating Reality, providing Voice of the Customer feedback to Sun Chemical.
  • Develop and maintain account level strategies, identifying key buying factors, stakeholders, decision makers, and influencers. Develop value propositions specific to each customer and their needs.
  • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to develop volume, revenue, margin targets and strategize how to meet those targets.
  • Recognize and understand competitive threats and opportunities, develop strategies to protect existing customer base and capture new business.
  • Manage day-to-day territory needs through in-person and remote customer interactions. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Undergraduate degree is required. MBA a plus.
  • 8-10 years of successful sales or technical sales experience, preferably in printing ink, flexible packaging, coatings. Chemical Distribution Sales are a plus.
  • Proven ability to sell at the C Suite Level with proven track record of year over year sales growth. 
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills. 
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, or other CRM software.
  • Demonstrated repeat success closing high volume new account sales. Ability to manage the largest and most complex independent account locations.
  • Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 60% (local and regional) with occasional night and weekends based on customer needs.
