Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Takes a leadership role and responsibility for managing the company’s independent contracting relationship with the field sales organization, and assures that the revenue plan is achieved. These responsibilities are performed through a process of recognizing, analyzing, and successfully capturing market opportunities through the efforts of the Sales Team across the entire product array. Observes and develops product information, builds and manages contractual relationships, monitors progress on business plans, and ensures performance objectives are achieved. Success will be achieved through revenue plan attainment and maintaining optimum sales force results. The process is supplemented by conducting reviews of territory sales results and making changes when deemed necessary and appropriate. Responsible for managing the company’s independent contracting relationships with sales professionals, administering strategic customer pricing programs, and collaborating with Field National Accounts. Assigned various tactical initiatives by the Managing Director, Sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Serves as the contractual relationship liaison for the Regional Sales Managers (sales contractors) and maintains a positive relationship with the field sales organization.
  • Evaluates and reviews territory strategic plans, data analysis, and territory structure; determines root cause for over‑performing or under‑performing territories and addresses any issues.
  • Leads sales contractors sourcing efforts and provides recommendations for renewals and non‑renewals of territory contracts.
  • Conducts customer and territory visits (with or without Regional Sales Managers) and attends trade shows and conferences.
  • Leads collaboration efforts on sales objectives with the appropriate functional areas or operating company, leveraging industry and vertical market knowledge to align with strategic initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years in sales management, preferably in field sales.
  • 8+ years in field sales.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to travel extensively, including internationally, and maintain a valid passport.
  • Vertical market specific expertise and continuous maintenance of know‑how.
  • Teaching skills (individual and group).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Sales Logix.
PAY & BENEFITS

Pay Range: $88,830.00 - $143,980.00 depending on location and years of experience.

Eligible employees may receive health, vision and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, bonus potential, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, paid bereavement, vacation (full‑time only), and paid holidays (full‑time only).
