Position Overview

Denver Beverage is seeking a driven, relationship-focused, and technically skilled Chemical Sales Manager to lead the growth of our warewash and laundry chemical division across hospitality, healthcare, restaurant, and institutional markets throughout Colorado. This is not simply a sales role. 


This position serves as both: 

  • a trusted advisor to our customers, and  
  • the company’s technical leader for warewash and laundry chemical systems.  


The ideal candidate brings a combination of: 

  • strong sales ability,  
  • technical troubleshooting expertise,  
  • operational understanding,  
  • and a passion for helping customers improve efficiency, sanitation, and overall performance.  

You will work closely with customers, technicians, operations leadership, and vendor partners to deliver solutions that create long-term value and exceptional service experiences. 


Key Responsibilities


Business Development & Customer Relationships

  • Develop and grow warewash and laundry chemical business across healthcare, hospitality, restaurant, and institutional accounts.  
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships.  
  • Conduct facility evaluations and recommend operational, sanitation, and cost-saving improvements.  
  • Build trusted relationships with:  
  • ownership groups,  
  • general managers,  
  • executive chefs,  
  • environmental services directors,  
  • housekeeping leaders,  
  • and purchasing teams.  
  • Maintain regular account visits to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and program success.  
  • Collaborate with leadership on territory growth strategies and market development initiatives.  


Technical & Operational Leadership

  • Serve as Denver Beverage’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for warewash and laundry chemical systems.  
  • Perform chemical titrations, dispenser setup, calibration, and sanitation verification.  
  • Troubleshoot dish-machine and laundry chemical systems efficiently and professionally.  
  • Support installations and work alongside service technicians to ensure high-quality execution.  
  • Train customers and internal teams on:  
  • chemical handling,  
  • sanitation best practices,  
  • equipment operation,  
  • safety procedures,  
  • and preventative maintenance.  
  • Assist in developing SOPs, installation standards, and technical training materials for the Purworks chemical division.  
  • Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal sanitation and safety requirements.  


Leadership & Strategic Support

  • Help drive the long-term growth strategy of the Purworks chemical division.  
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to service and sales personnel.  
  • Participate in customer reviews, operational meetings, and solution planning discussions.  
  • Support pricing strategy, customer retention initiatives, and operational improvements.  
  • Contribute to building a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and exceptional execution.  


Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of successful experience in commercial warewash and/or laundry chemical sales and service.  
  • Strong technical knowledge of:  
  • warewash systems,  
  • laundry chemical systems,  
  • dispenser programming,  
  • titrations,  
  • sanitation procedures,  
  • and troubleshooting.  
  • Experience with equipment installation and field service support.  
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.  
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.  
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.  
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.  


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within healthcare, hospitality, or institutional environments.  
  • Familiarity with both low-temp and high-temp warewash systems.  
  • Understanding of water quality impacts on chemical performance.  
  • Leadership or team development experience is a plus.

Salary Description

$95,000 - $120,000
