The Sales Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for driving sales growth and managing a high-performing chemical sales team. This role involves developing strategic initiatives, fostering client relationships, and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and organizational objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and professional development to team members.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with overall business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and recommend adjustments to sales strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with the team to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Sales Performance Evaluation:

  • Evaluate individual and team performance against set targets and key performance indicators.
  • Implement corrective measures and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Sales Forecasting and Budgeting:

  • Lead the development of chemical sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor actual performance against forecasts and take corrective action as needed.

New Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to expand the customer base and increase market share.

Sales Process Optimization:

  • Implement and enhance effective sales processes and workflows.

Market Research and Competitor Analysis:

  • Proficient in CRM software and other relevant sales tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
