 Mobile Service Automotive Technician

The Service Technician (Non-Flag) position performs vehicle service and repair work as assigned in accordance with dealership and factory standards. The Service Technician (Non-Flag) is responsible for maintaining the requisite technical knowledge and skill to efficiently and accurately repair vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the requisite technical knowledge and skill to efficiently and accurately service and repair vehicles.
• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as outlined on the repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Maintain the mobile service vehicle you have been assigned.
• Greet customers at their location and perform the repairs assigned.
• Perform inspections to identify any needed repairs or preventative maintenance needs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicate with service advisor/dispatcher regarding repair status.
• Document all work performed on the repair order using the dealer management system.
• Maintain the highest possible standards of workmanship.
• Road-test vehicles before and after the repair, when applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness with customer’s vehicles.
• Maintain shop cleanliness.
• Participate in service training activities and factory-sponsored training classes.
• Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition, immediately report safety incidents.
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions.
• Possess general tools to perform the tasks assigned according to your job-roll.
• Any other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous technician/mechanic experience required.
• Previous Ford/Lincoln experience a plus!
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
• Authorization to work in the USA.
• Willingness to listen, learn, and work hard.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand workshop manuals and record repair information in the repair orders.
