Job Description

The Iron Oaks Taproom will feature a rotating tapas style/small plates menu to enhance our craft beer, wine and cocktail menu.

You will be responsible for working with owners to create a food menu that matches the experience provided by our bar and cocktail lounge, as well as oversee prep and back of house operations at our fast casual concept. We want you to use your culinary experience and managerial skills in order to co-lead and run a successful kitchen and ultimately maintaining and enhancing our guests' satisfaction. You should have a passion for service and you're a positive and committed team player who also can take a leadership role and coach the rest of the kitchen team to achieving a higher level of success. You are a talented and creative chef that is passionate about creating sensational meals. We also see that you feel comfortable fast-paced situations where you can prioritize and see solutions where others see problems, and you are willing to contribute your experience to our already highly skilled team.

Qualification

  • Knowledge of all local, state and federal Health and Food safety requirements.]
  • Knowledge of various handling, prep, and cooking methods for vegetables, proteins, and seafood.
  • Previous experience as a Chef (3+ years) or Sous Chef (1+ years)
  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
  • Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Play a leadership role in planning and directing food preparation
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance. Recruit all staff in accordance with company standards.
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a 100% Health score
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
