Engineering Cost Estimator - Aerospace

Our client is a leading manufacturer of precision components in the aerospace and defense industry. Seeking a skilled Engineering Estimator to join the team. Your primary focus would involve creating precise and timely quotes and securing new business opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

• Review customer requests for quotes, provide cost-effective estimates.
• Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to obtain material, process, and manufacturing costs.
• Evaluate supplier quotes and estimate in-house manufacturing hours and tooling requirements.
• Estimate lead times based on various factors, ensuring realistic timelines.
• Maintain and update estimates module in ERP system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Attend customer calls and visits as needed. 

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in cost engineering / estimating or manufacturing engineering, aerospace preferred. 
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred. 
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications and GD&T.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and sheet metal forming.
• Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems. 
• Strong communication and project management skills.
