Design Engineer II (mechanical design engineering exp. req.) Description

Our client in the Oil and Gas industry is looking for a Design Engineer II to join their team. This position is 100% onsite in Golden, CO. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for new product design, drawing creation, project management, and R&D. You’ll typically be working on 1-2 projects simultaneously overseeing the design of their industrial equipment. This is a tight-knit engineering team of 3 so if you crave more exposure and the chance to put your fingerprints on my areas across a product’s lifecycle, this could be perfect. You’ll navigate typical pain points with project management like scope creep but ultimately, this is a unique role in engineering where you won’t be overextended and underappreciated. Design Engineer II (mechanical design engineering exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Oversee product development and product changes
• Manage the project from concept to production
• Conduct analyses such as FEAs and CFDs to ensure product success
• Coordinate in-house testing and design testing fixtures for products
• Lead field testing efforts and analyze data for project validation
• Generate and manage drawings, BOMs, and analysis reports
• Maintain relationships with vendors to help facilitate the timely completion of projects
• Create drawings, bill of materials, routers, and system updates for new and improved products
• Choose design concepts and technology or new or improved products
• Partner cross-functionally to solve engineering and customer problems
• Adhere to Environmental, Safety, and Hazardous Communications requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement

Design Engineer II (mechanical design engineering exp. req.) Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required
• 4+ years of mechanical design experience required
• 2+ years of product development from concept to production required
• Excel proficiency including pivot tables and calculations required
