Purchasing Manager - Manufacturing

Our client is a fast-paced drug-free, equal-opportunity employer and manufacturing facility located in Coral Springs, Florida. They specialize in Precision CNC Machining and Custom Sheet Metal Fabrications for the aerospace, medical, automotive, electronics, and marine-related industries.

Join their dynamic team as a Purchasing Manager. They are seeking an energetic and adept individual who can seamlessly balance tactical efficiency with strategic insight. Your primary mission? Direct, coordinate, and invigorate their Purchasing Team to ensure the seamless flow of production materials, shop supplies, and critical services.

Key Responsibilities:

· Spearhead purchasing operations to align with our high-volume production schedule, ensuring consistent and timely delivery.

· Craft and manage purchase orders and contracts, maintaining up-to-date pricing and cost data.

· Foster strong relationships with suppliers, maximizing value and reliability.

· Direct the activities of our purchasing team, optimizing their talents and efficiency.

· Conduct regular audits of existing processes and work instructions, consistently analyzing for gaps and identifying areas requiring new documentation.

· Develop and maintain an approved supplier list, ensuring quality and reliability.

· Implement supplier evaluation programs to enhance alliances and monitor performance.

· Stay ahead of ISO/AS management requirements, driving excellence within the Purchasing Department.

· Keep stakeholders informed of critical developments in our fast-paced environment.

· Analyze market trends to anticipate material availability and recommend strategic actions.

· Monitor volatile market prices and recommend measures to safeguard profitability.

High school diploma required, with preference for additional business education.

Requirements:

· Five years minimum experience in purchasing, with a focus on sheet metal.

· Five years minimum in supervisory and supply chain management roles.

· Proficiency in ERP/MRP Systems, experience with Made2Manage a plus.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Solid grasp of business and inventory control concepts.

· Physical ability to meet operational demands including sight and hearing correctible to normal.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
