Job Title: Material Execution Supervisor
Terms: Contract until Sep 2024
Department:
IML
Reports To: Senior Manager IML
Location: 9701 Old Statesville Road, Charlotte, NC 28269

Schedule: 2nd shift : 4:30PM – 3AM, 10-hour shifts 5 days a week and 2 Saturdays a month.

Interview Process: The 1st interview will be conducted via MS-Teams and 2nd will be in-person.

Job Summary:

A Material Execution Supervisor is a key position within a company's supply chain and logistics department. This role involves overseeing the movement and handling of materials within a facility, ensuring that they are stored, transported, and utilized efficiently and safely. The Material Execution Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations related to the handling, storage, and movement of materials within the company's facilities. This includes coordinating with various teams, such as production, warehouse, and transportation, to ensure smooth and efficient material flow. The supervisor will also monitor and enforce safety protocols, maintain accurate records, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Coordination:
    • Oversee the activities of material handlers, forklift operators, DACs (deliver assurance coordinators) and other relevant personnel.
    • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure seamless material flow.
  2. Safety and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies related to material handling.
  3. Process Improvement:
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline material handling processes.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of material movements, including receipts, shipments, and transfers.
    • Generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for decision-making.
  5. Equipment and Facilities Management:
    • Ensure that material handling equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
    • Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs and replacements as needed.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Provide training and guidance to material handling personnel to ensure compliance with best practices and safety procedures.
    • Support the onboarding of new team members.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in material handling, logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of material handling equipment and techniques.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Leadership and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is in a manufacturing environment.
  • May require occasional work in different shifts, weekends, or holidays.
  • Physical requirements may include lifting and moving heavy objects.
