Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer collects and analyzes data to determine where quality improvements can be made. This position is based in Tulsa Oklahoma. Responsibilities include reviewing Customer Complaint Data looking for trending issues that can be eliminated through a CAPA Process. The Quality Engineer will lead Customer Complaint and Red Tag meetings to ensure Customer Complaints and internal non-conformances are diagnosed and processed in an efficient manner. Additionally, the engineer will work with Quality and other departments to carry out Continuous Improvement CAPAs aimed at finding root cause and eliminating trending complaints. Occasionally, this role may be required to work overtime to satisfy customers’ needs or other duties as the company requires.

• This job requires an extensive amount of typing and use of hands.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support to Team members in their pursuit of Continuous Improvement.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Aberdeen Dynamics personnel in the Continuous Improvement Process
• Guide Team members to actively pursue Defect Reduction.
• Ensure analysis and improvements are noted and supplied to the Sales Team to improve customer communication.
• Assist and support project teams as they work through containment, root cause and permanent corrective actions.
• Lead Red Tag Meetings.
• Lead Customer Complaint Meetings
• Assist in the writing of procedures, Work instructions and forms as necessary to document continuous improvement actions.
• Reports to and receives guidance from the Director of Q.H.S.E.

Skills & Competencies

• Safety Focused – Wear required PPE as determined by the Aberdeen Safety Manager
• Detail Oriented – Adept at linking various analytical data sets to find trending conditions.
• Computer – Must be proficient at Microsoft Office Suite. Ideally will have a working knowledge of Power BI and Minitab.

• Basic Arithmetic – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Knowledge of computing basic formulas.

Knowledge & Education

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related Technical Field
• A candidate with an advanced degree in Engineering or a related Technical Field is a plus.
• Possess a working knowledge of Power Bi, Excel, and Statistics.
