Project Controls Analyst

Job Description:

• The Project Controls Analyst supports the project manager by tracking the portfolios budget, forecasting financial spend, monitoring and reporting forecast, and responding to ad hoc data analysis requests.
• Coordinates, leads/supervises, and monitors the Project Controls activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and report project cost and schedule data by reviewing headcount, performance drivers, financial and non-financial metrics, business objectives, and targets.
• Ensure the program follows cost and schedule reporting guidelines.
• Evaluates manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements.
• Report on productivity and cost tracking metrics for engineering and construction firms and internal project management teams.
• Develop, report, and manage cost data for projects.
• Extract cost and schedule information from reporting systems and analyze data to report on the status of the project.
• Maintain SAP.
• Understands P6 and can extract data.
• Prepare, obtain approval, and post accruals.
• Work with Engineering and Construction Leads to ensure proper representation of project schedule.
• Provide regular communication on project cost, schedule and risk status to project team members and stakeholders.
• Mark projects operative and finalize and record total project costs.
• Involved in the tracking system to ensure that project manager is fully aware of detailed change order status.

Job Requirements:

• Previous Utilities experience or very relevant experience small scale, large volume distribution work desired.
• Construction experience and knowledge desired.
• Support PM who is in Cupertino ability to meet 1-2x a month would be desired, but not necessarily required depending on strength of candidate.
• Great at communication and coordinating with numerous stakeholders to support PM (estimating, construction, etc.).
• SAP, Excel, and technical ability to navigate through and understand PowerBI.

The hiring range for this position is $75 to $90 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity, and may also vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience amongst other factors.
