Inside Sales Representative

Cougar Chemical has been serving the cleaning industry with turnkey cleaning solutions, equipment, and supplies since 1960. We are seeking highly motivated teammates to help support and service our “Raving Fans” and have fun doing the job.

Cougar Chemical is looking for an inside sales representative to work in our Memphis Showroom. We are looking for someone who is friendly and helpful. A positive attitude is everything. We hope to find a candidate with management experience who can rapidly grow into a management position.

Essential Duties include:

• Check out customers with our Point of Sales System with enthusiasm and accuracy.
• Promptly and enthusiastically answering the phone.
• Clean and stock the showroom.
• Identify and refer customers that require the assistance of our sales team.
• Assist with picking and packing internet orders.
• Provide technical assistance with cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience with Auto Detailing, Pressure Washing, B2B Sales, Floor Care Equipment, or related field preferred.
• Display a bright and enthusiastic personality that creates a fantastic customer experience.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma required.
• Retail and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to learn our product line well enough to fulfill customer needs and answer questions.
• Able to regularly lift 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Our showroom is open Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pm. Our representatives must be here early enough to get the shop open and be able to stay long enough to close when the last customer leaves.
• Weekends off with no travel required!
• Personality, Work Ethic and Enthusiasm is valued more than experience, so we are willing to train the right candidate.

Additional Opportunities:

• Cougar Chemical has a thriving internet business and all promotional activities are generated in house. We create all of our own content including the website construction & maintenance, photography, videography, editing, blogging and social. While not in the direct scope of this position, interested candidates will have the to opportunity to learn and participate in promotional and marketing activities.
• Cougar Chemical designs and builds mobile cleaning systems in house. For candidates with mechanical ability or curiosity, there is opportunity to participate in the construction process.
• Cougar Chemical routinely trains auto detailers to use the most cutting edge automotive reconditioning products and equipment. Our product research, development and testing is done in house. Interested candidates will have ample opportunity to learn about automotive detailing.
• We have a need for an applicant who is interested in learning the position and developing into the role of showroom manager.
