Job Description

Reporting to the VP, Global Talent Acquisition, you will develop, drive, and deliver initiatives that support the attraction, engagement and recruitment of all university intern and new college graduate hires across the US and Canada.

You will have end-to-end ownership over the strategy, planning, execution and oversight program development and execution in partnership with cross-organization team members. These include events, such as Daikin internal summits and other ongoing, partnership events and activities and overall build a best-in-class Internship and New College Graduate hiring program that draws a robust, excited, engaged and talent pool from diverse backgrounds and educational institutions.

You will be responsible for the management of our university recruitment function and growing the team to include future university recruiters over time.

May include:

• Leverage prior successful experiences in building and scaling University recruiting programs and implementing those at Daikin. Serve as a subject matter expert in order to continue to build strong university recruiting best practices on a national scale

• Set the strategy and specific goals and KPIs that align to the company’s business needs

• Identify target schools and develop a plan to build and sustain lasting relationships for the purpose of talent attraction at the intern and early grad hiring level

• Partner with various leaders across the organization to develop and execute scalable talent strategies and effectively manage recruiter capacity

• Work with hiring managers and interview teams to create exceptional and structured interview experiences in order to bring the best and brightest to Daikin

• Collaborate with and influence hiring managers to design and develop challenging intern projects and assignments for the purpose of skill development, high engagement and excitement for Daikin and to deliver an overall exceptional internship experience

• Partner with the Business and Finance to set new grad and intern hiring targets across the organization, execute against strategic plans around programs and results, and present to leadership teams and other key BU stakeholders the results and outcomes

• Leverage and fully optimize the use of recruiting platforms (Handshake, RippleMatch, etc.)

• Foster strong partnerships across all levels of the organization

• Develop content and manage the roll-out of stakeholder education, on-campus campaigns, social media plans, etc. to help boost specialized programming efforts

• Partner and strategize with Marketing and Employment Brand teams to create and design talent branding campaigns and to promote upcoming hiring events and activities

• Plan and attend campus events to build relationships with the student population. Leverage creative ways to engage and excite students through guest class lectures, business speaker series, interactive student workshops, product demonstrations, and other events or ideas

• Document end-to-end processes, streamline where needed and ensure that best practices and processes are adhered to by the UR/TA team and hiring managers

• expand Daikin's reach across university campuses by partnering with the Campus Career Center, faculty, and diverse campus associations like MESA, BASE, NASEP, etc. to execute on local programming and dedicated on-campus events

• Manage sourcing tools and systems that support pipeline build, candidate outreach, candidate management and candidate experiences (CRM, sourcing platforms, job posting boards, etc.)

• Report, monitor and leverage data and analytics to track progress, address bottlenecks, identify trends, and share UR insights with Daikin leaders

• Generate and produce timely reporting of OKRs and insights to drive decisions and improve processes where needed

• Partner with TA Ops to develop and analyze metrics for measuring progress and effectiveness of overall university recruiting efforts and impact

• Participate in additional projects/activities as needed.

• Ensures work is aligned with the Director’s expectations, goals, and vision

• Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results

• Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan

• Provides guidance and training to recruiting peers and Daikin business leaders

• Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination

• Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines

Knowledge & Skills:

• Successful project and program management expertise with the ability to independently prioritize and track complex, competing schedules; proactively anticipate and complete tasks; and self-initiate programs

• Analytical skills – interpret, leverage and translate data into actionable insights, recommendations and action plans

• Global Perspective – partner with stakeholders across the different regions and understand country and region-specific needs

• Proven change management and influencing skills; demonstrated success in driving initiatives across functions, levels and geographies

• Organized, results driven, resourceful problem-solver, reliable team player, a nimble learner, and demonstrated high attention to detail and follow-through to project completion

• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with presenting to an audience at all levels

• Able to work effectively and thrive in a constantly evolving organization with some ambiguity

• Advanced market research skills, understanding of best practices and trends in the University Recruiting space and ability to implement them

• Lead and work effectively across multiple priorities, drive progress against University and New College graduate hiring goals and manage stakeholders at all levels

• Interpersonal Communication Skills – build lasting and productive partnerships with university contacts; effectively communicate updates, ideas, solutions and challenges through verbal and written means

• Influencer across all levels in the organization

• Accountable – takes ownership, meets deadlines and drives outcomes and qualitative results

• Systems and platform experience with Handshake and/or RippleMatch, and UKG Recruiting Gateway are highly preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of combined professional work experience in University Recruiting, Talent Acquisition and Early Talent Identification

• 3-5 years of successful program management experience in developing the strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

• Experience collecting and reporting data to track progress and success against OKRs (recruiting events, campaigns, programs)

Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work-related experience

People Management: Yes

Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. Able to travel extensively across the U.S. during peak season
