We are an Engineering firm established in July 2013 and are a leading provider of engineering consulting services in the Pee Dee region. Initially located in Florence, South Carolina, the company has grown substantially over the years and recently relocated to a larger facility to accommodate its expansion. With a team of 15 employees, including 4 licensed professional engineers, we boast over 100 years of combined experience in civil engineering, specializing in water, wastewater, stormwater, and site development projects. Since its inception, the company has successfully secured over $30,000,000 in federal, state, and local funding for clients through 50 different projects.


Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. Working closely with the Chief Engineer and project teams, you will contribute your expertise to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Project Planning and Design: Assist in the planning and design phases of civil engineering projects, including water, wastewater, stormwater, and site development, utilizing engineering principles, software tools, and industry best practices.
  • Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to assess project feasibility, identify design constraints, and optimize solutions for efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare technical drawings, specifications, reports, and other project documentation using CAD software and other relevant tools, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders to coordinate project activities, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality reviews and inspections of engineering designs, plans, and construction activities to verify compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Construction Support: Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects, responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, presenting technical information, addressing inquiries, and managing expectations to foster positive relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in civil engineering, participating in professional development activities and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery and team performance.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or EIT certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on water, wastewater, stormwater, and site development projects.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and interact professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
