Position Summary

The Nothing Bundt Cakes digital team is reimagining the intersection of digital and physical shopping, rapidly innovating to evolve and define the shopping experience for our passionate Guests. The Director, Off Premise Growth will be a key leader on the NbC Digital Team, creating all Off-Premise strategic initiatives, serving our Guests who place a premium on convenience with a desire to access our Bundt Cakes without traveling to a Bakery. The scope of this role includes developing the plan for First/Second/Third Party Delivery, Catering, and future B2B and Partnership opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a strategist and executor who has experience building and developing off-premise restaurant business and an understanding of the partnerships, operations, and data required to drive business growth. (S)he will bring an analytical mindset to identify opportunities and solve complex problems. The leader in this role will work cross functionally on innovation projects from concept to launch at more than 500 bakeries. Success in the role will require a willingness to spend time in both spreadsheets and Bakeries, with external partners, cross-functional partners, and our franchise owners. This leader will own the overall relationship and performance of 2PD/3PD partners and will lead efforts in evaluating new vendors and partnerships.

Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Develop growth plan for off-premise channels in collaboration with leadership team to propel the business forward
  • Develop project strategies, success criteria, plan, budget, risk, quality standards, and timeline with cross-functional resources
  • Facilitate decisions with data and thoughtful analysis, biased to Guest benefits but understanding of franchisee perspective; provide recommendations with supporting analysis for executive decision making
  • Identify and select the best third-party partner(s) with optimal terms / SLAs for the business
  • Coordinate with select third-party delivery services providers; monitor and measure service levels and implement changes necessary, including working with 3PDs to resolve issues
  • Partner with operations to develop enterprise delivery standards for first party, second party, and third party delivery
  • Manage portfolio of off-premise projects and programs; manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Develop and execute testing and implementation plan for multi-year brand initiatives
  • Partner with operations to develop enterprise delivery standards and operating procedures for first party, second party, and third party delivery
  • Develop enterprise partnerships and B2B capabilities that broaden access to NbC product
  • Serve as the resident expert for delivery, including understanding financial models, technology, operations, marketing, and equipment
  • Create and execute communication plans and on-boarding processes to onboard franchisees to new partnerships/channels
  • Balance the mix of growth levers for eCommerce vs. third-party marketplaces
  • Inform the technology and product roadmaps based on identification of the biggest opportunities / problems to solve
  • Ensure suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress of off-premise channel growth

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Understanding of delivery business; deep knowledge of delivery service providers and/or restaurant delivery operations
  • Is a strategist with an appreciation of operations, and can develop long term plans and initiatives to drive growth across the organization
  • Experience working with a multi-unit operation; franchise experience preferred
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; highly motivated and self-directed
  • Change agent, never satisfied with status quo; bias for action
  • Proactive problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Team player with natural ability to build and maintain strong working relationships

Education/Certifications and Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or technology field
