Paralegal Legal Assistant

We are seeking a Spanish speaking Paralegal Legal Assistant for immediate hire to become a part of our team! 

We are a small plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in Locust Valley in search of a Spanish speaking paralegal with certificate or a Spanish speaking secretary to work directly with partners and staff on cases from inception through resolution. Heavy client interaction. Knowledge of the LEX PI case management software and personal injury law is a plus. Candidate must be have the ability to take initiative, multi-task and work in a fast paced environment, paying attention to detail and posses exceptional organizational skills. Responsibilities:

• Conduct client interviews and correspond regularly with clients 
• Assist with the drafting of insurance documents and applications
• Investigate facts and gather client information for legal matters 
• Monitor and ensure compliance with insurance and Court deadlines
• Record and store client information in case management system (LEXPI)

​Qualifications:

• Must speak Spanish
• Previous experience as a paralegal or other legal field is preferred 
• Familiarity with personal injury is preferred
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
