Job description

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal Assistant with a strong legal office background to join a professional and collaborative legal team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a law firm or legal environment and be comfortable supporting attorneys with document preparation, scheduling, client communication, and daily administrative responsibilities.

Candidates must have previous legal industry experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
  • Prepare, edit, format, and file legal documents and correspondence
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, meetings, and court-related scheduling
  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional manner
  • Maintain client files, case records, and digital documentation
  • Communicate with clients, courts, witnesses, and outside parties
  • Organize case files and assist with case preparation
  • Draft routine legal correspondence and documents
  • Gather, review, and organize case-related information
  • Assist with billing, collections, and other legal administrative functions


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, Paralegal Assistant, or Legal Administrative Assistant required
  • Must have experience working in a law firm, legal department, or legal services environment
  • Knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and legal documentation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning legal case management/billing software
