The company is actively seeking Assistant Restaurant General Managers to join its rapidly expanding team in Chicago and across the country. The Assistant Restaurant General Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining exceptional guest service. The position encompasses a wide range of duties, including managing all aspects of full-service or quick-service operations within the airport. Key responsibilities include training and retaining a dedicated staff, delivering outstanding hospitality, and ensuring optimal food and labor costs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for sharing P&L responsibilities, running shifts, and fostering a culture of teaching and learning. Additionally, the role requires strict adherence to all company policies and procedures, ensuring sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment
- Planning of daily goals, tasks and assignments.
- Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as state health/sanitation standards.
- Assists with all office tasks, including management of fund, receiving, inventory, purchasing, scheduling
- Utilize experience to effectively control financials, personnel management, facilities, marketing, food preparation and quality, and general business operations
- Communicates company policies with management team/direct reports and hourly team members through written and oral communication in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to learn, transfer this learning and train others
- Performs general clerical functions within the business/restaurant(s), which include payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable, scheduling, and operating statements
- Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, and similar items
- Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts, using calculator or computer

REQUIRED for this position:
- Minimum of three years experience in the food & beverage industry, in a management/supervisory capacity
- Full service and/or quick service experience preferred
- Must pass a TSA background check.
