Manager, Revenue Accounting

Job Summary:

The Revenue Accounting Manager will manage and coordinate activities supporting the reconciliation of and analysis of all revenue related accounts. This person will understand and interpret contracts and communicate terms to third parties within the revenue process.

Job Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities may include the following:

· Perform month-end general ledger close activities including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for net revenue and revenue related accounts such as accounts receivable.

· Ensure prompt and accurate performance of monthly close activities.

· Manage all aspects of revenue recognition and gross-to-net reserves including working closely with external consultants and the 3PL. GTN reserves are related to various governmental programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid and PHS.

· Review contracts to determine and properly account for all significant terms.

· Calculate and record royalty and revenue sharing agreement related liabilities.

· Prepare reports and analysis related to net revenue, volume, and mix.

· Support the completion of the external audit (US GAAP and local statutory), ensuring evidence and documentation are provided timely.

· Continually assess our processes and procedures and implement changes to promote efficiency, with a primary focus on improved use of technology.

· Collaborate with and support the Market Access/Marketing team.

· Other ad hoc processes and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

· Ability to own process and work independently in pursuit of reaching team goals.

· Ability to learn quickly, provide thoughtful analysis and build bulletproof processes.

· Strong teamwork, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills are required.

· Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply to a variety of accounting transactions.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred.

· 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.

· Public accounting and public company experience preferred.

· Previous experience at a pharmaceutical company with an understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, PHS and other governmental programs strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

· Position is home based in the US.

· Must be able to sit for long periods at a desk.
