Customer Service Representative, CSR

A Customer Service Representative liaises with patients, referral sources, and other team members to coordinate patient care. • Liaises with patients, referral sources, and other team members to coordinate patient care
• Uses software systems to communicate effectively; keeps a record of all patient contacts
• Maintains strong working knowledge of products and services offered by company
• Maintains patient files as specified in company policy
• Answers phone calls, returns voicemails, routes calls to proper team members, and corresponds with patients via email
• Ensures complete and accurate patient registration, including demographics and insurance information
• Performs referral operations such as order intake, customer service, insurance verification, documentation verification, prior authorization, and scheduling
• Ensures that referrals and other patient requests are addressed or processed in a timely manner
• Identifies patient needs or desires to recommend appropriate products or services
• Works with teammates to resolve customer complaints. Escalates complaints to leadership when necessary.
• Provides feedback to leaders to help improve business practices; assists in creating ways to deliver excellent customer service

About You ---

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years customer service experience
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
