Salary: $60,000 to $70,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience
Terrific Development Manager position with an environmental justice and advocacy nonprofit in the Washington, D.C. area. The position will be responsible for the full lifecycle of fundraising for a portfolio of individual and corporate donors, as well as certain development operations functions. Fundraising initiatives will focus on closing gifts in the range of $1,000 to $5,000 annually. The position will identify existing donors with greater levels of giving capacity and steward them towards securing larger gifts/sponsorships. Operationally, the Development Manager will leverage data to drive fundraising and oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's fundraising CRM. Qualified candidates should have approximately 2+ years of relevant fundraising experience. This position operates on a hybrid schedule and the salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide moves management to a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects capable of giving up to $5,000 (individual and corporate)
- Manage the mid-level donor program with an emphasis on relationships to enhance donor engagement
- Oversee and create donor engagement event opportunities
- Leverage data to drive increased fundraising strategies
- Provide day-to-day management of the donor CRM, including generating reports and tracking donor activities
- Conduct prospect research and create donor profiles
Qualifications:
- Approximately 2+ of years relevant fundraising experience
- Demonstrated track record of closing gifts
- Experience working with data within a donor CRM
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a go-getter
- Capable of building strong relationships with donors and prospects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel within the state of Maryland; Driver's license and car required
