IT Systems Administrator

Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness.  Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. The System Administrator will design, organize, modify, and support the organization’s network, physical and virtual server environment, and computer systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the
  infrastructure
• Maintain system efficiency
• Ensure design of system allows all components to work properly together
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users
• Make recommendations for future upgrades
• Assist project teams with technical issues in the Initiation and Planning phases of large
  projects within the organization
• Maintain network and system security
• Analyze and isolate issues
• Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
• Evaluate and modify system's performance
• Identify user needs
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
• Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with
  technical considerations
• Design and deploy networks
• Perform network address assignment
• Assign routing protocols and routing table configuration
• Assign configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services
• Maintain network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal
  computers as well as printers
• Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems
  
• Administer Hypervisor, all physical and virtual servers, desktop computers, printers, routers,
  switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment,
  security updates and patches
• Will attend inter-departmental meetings as required
• Must comply with all AHCH policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to thrive in a complex, multi-department setting
• Must have strong project management skills
• Ability to work with end users with a variety of technological skill levels
• Must have ability to analyze data and effectively communicate impact/meaning of data
• High level of organization and adherence to deadlines
• Ability to develop and implement short-and long-range computer systems, capacity,
  technology, and operational plans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate and integrate computer systems development, enhancement, and
  modifications from overall information services perspective
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of related work experience
• 3 years of Systems Administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience implementing Electronic Health Record and/or Practice Management
  System
• 2 years of reporting and programming experience
• 2 years of experience in project management experience
• Experience in and IT department at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) or other
  community health setting
• Experience working with an Electronic Health Record
