Job Description

Position Summary:

Cannabis and Glass, one of Spokane's top-rated dispensaries, is currently looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our team! The Procurement Analyst is a critical member of the Purchasing Department. A successful Procurement Analyst is comfortable analyzing weeks remaining and product needs, identifying data errors, conducting market research on pricing and competition, building relationships with new and existing vendors, as well as fulfilling administrative duties that are normally completed by procurement admins. This position will require excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong analytical background and the ability to speak with confidence on the phone with vendors. 

The primary function of the Procurement Analyst (PA) is to build purchase orders based on current inventory needs. The Director of Procurement will provide direction based on analysis of inventory needs and budgetary goals. PAs will fulfill these needs by analyzing vendor inventories and creating POs to present to the Director for approval and submission. PA’s will use analysis tools to choose the correct products from vendors identified by the Director of Procurement. Once a PO is approved, the PA’s will assign the PO to a Purchasing Specialist who will ensure that the PO is accepted and delivered on time. Procurement Analysts report to the Director of Procurement.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze vendor inventories to fulfill inventory needs as assigned by the Director of Procurement. 
  • Accurately assess vendor inventories to select the best products to fill assigned needs.
  • Produce purchase orders for approval as directed. 
  • Provide market, vendor and product insight and analysis in daily meetings with the Director to further the goals of the department. 
  • Develop new vendor relationships and assess new vendor inventories as directed.
  • Successfully manage vendor relationships to achieve the best result for the department.
  • Successfully manage Procurement Admins to ensure “Submitted POs” are followed-up on and deliveries are verified and scheduled appropriately.
  • Analyze market data using tools such as Top Shelf Data and negotiate with vendors to achieve the most competitive margin possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other Mathematics or Business related field
  • Successfully deliver on all deadlines and accurately execute in a very fast-paced environment
  • 1-2 years of purchasing and/or business development experience 
  • 1-2 years of analysis experience
  • A fundamental understanding of cannabis and cannabis products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to occasionally work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work 40-45 hours per week
  • User of cannabis products preferred
  • Minimum of 21 years of age and MUST be a resident of Washington State. We require all employees to have a WA State ID.
  • Must have the ability to satisfy a background check.
  • Must remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry. We have a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy for consumption of any kind prior to or during the work day.

COMPENSATION:

$50,000-$75,000/year DOE
