Cafe Team Member Cashier/Server San Antonio Alamo KOA

We are seeking a customer service-oriented team member for our Cafe Breakfast Team! Must be friendly and outgoing in a fast-paced environment. Perfect summer job!

Hours are 6:30am-12:30pm for our Breakfast Shift. Must be available weekends and holidays.

The Café Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking orders and ensuring our guests are satisfied throughout the dining experience. They are required to communicate with the café cook to make sure food orders are prepared correctly and delivered in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all guests approaching in accordance with KOA standards.

• Establish and maintain good communication with Café team members and departments throughout the campground.

• Ensure all outlets are sanitized, cleaned, stocked and setup correctly at the start of the shift and throughout the shift while adhering to sanitation, safety and food and beverage control policies.

• Clear, clean and reset tables and supplies as needed.

• Serve food

• Responsible for understanding and operating the K2 system and how it relates to food service.

• Assist with basic preparation and cooking of food as needed.

• Understand and communicate what’s on the menu, answer questions and making recommendations on selection to the guests.

• Adhere to policies regarding handling of cash drawer while following specific KOA cash and credit card handling procedures.

• Increase revenue through upsell strategies and profitability of ancillary income.

• Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, fryers and grills.

• Obtain certifications to meet state and local government regulations.

• Maintain high standards of professionalism, customer service, quality and cleanliness.

• Be familiar with fire extinguisher locations and know how to operate them in the restaurant/kitchen.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Hear and speak the English language fluently.

• Excellent employee & customer relations skills & ability to manage confrontation.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

• Strong decision-making ability

• Motivated, goal oriented and results driven.

• Ability to react calmly and quickly in emergency situations.

• General knowledge of computers

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Valid driver’s license
