General Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Training Specialist to join our Learning and Development team. This individual will be pivotal in designing, developing, and delivering high-impact training programs that enhance the skills, performance, and Guest service standards of our Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, a flair for creating engaging content using multimedia tools, and a deep understanding of Guest Service and Hospitality standards and expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development: Partner with the HR Team to participate in the instructional design process, from needs analysis through to content development and delivery, ensuring all training materials align with our brand values and service standards.

Training Delivery: Facilitate engaging training sessions using a variety of delivery methods, including face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning environments, to cater to different learning styles.

Multimedia Content Creation: Utilize multimedia tools to create interactive and compelling training materials, such as videos, e-learning modules, and interactive quizzes, to enhance learning engagement and retention.

Hospitality Focus: Ensure all training content embodies a strong hospitality mindset, promoting excellence in customer service and guest experience.

Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update training programs based on feedback and performance outcomes, staying abreast of the latest trends in training and development within the hospitality industry.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with department leaders to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions that address specific challenges and opportunities.

Evaluation and Reporting: Implement effective evaluation strategies to measure training effectiveness, and provide detailed reports on participant progress and program impact.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training, Hospitality Management, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in instructional design, training facilitation, and content development, preferably in the hospitality sector.
  • Strong proficiency in using multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia) for content creation.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • A solid understanding of adult learning principles and modern training methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service and hospitality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with keen attention to detail and time management.
  • Creative, proactive, and passionate about driving learning and development initiatives that contribute to the success of the organization.

Full time, hourly position

Hourly Rate: $33 - $36 / hour DOE (overtime eligible)

Benefits include:

  • Deferred compensation into 401(k) account at company Shareholder discretion. Eligible to begin participating after one year of service with an annual plan entry date of October 1st.
