Data Electronic Devices, Inc., an Emerald Technologies company, has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector (1st & 2nd Shift) to join it's Salem, NH team! The Quality inspector is responsible for assuring that manufactured items are made and assembled according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship which complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, IPC-610 standards, J-STD-001 and customer specific criteria.
  • Input data into Statistical Process Control (SPC) database and evaluate.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to determine adherence to electrical specifications.
  • Verify completeness of documentation as required per work order traveler and internal procedures.
  • Read blueprints and/or engineering specifications to obtain information such as specified material, electrical, cosmetic requirements and workmanship instructions.
  • Perform line, in-process, sub-assembly, shipping, and receiving inspection as required.
  • Assist in failure investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action activities and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications of the Quality Inspector:

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of related inspection experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Trained to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerance specifications
  • Component identification and verification required
  • Must be capable of documenting inspection findings
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of all inspection tools
  • Good communication, computer, and analytical skills
