Director of Outpatient Services

The Director of Outpatient Services will assist the Chief Clinical Officer to provide leadership to outpatient departments that will enroll their support, create ownership of individual and collective outpatient departments/facility goals, active participation in practices that positively shape and affect the hospital and the at large community. Outpatient departments include Outpatient Therapy, Wound Center, Sleep Center, Outpatient Diabetic Clinic, and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The Director will also provide leadership to develop, expand and lead change in assigned outpatient areas. This position reports to the Chief Clinical Officer.

This position is full-time, salaried.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare field is preferred. 
• Master’s degree in in Business or Health Administration.
• Minimum of five (5) years progressive and proven clinical and leadership experience with preference for the assigned service area

Licensure, registration or certification:

• In clinical specialty

Proven knowledge and skills:

• Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communications.
• Team leader and team member skills.
• Critical reasoning, with proven ability to collaborate with others for problem resolution and defined sense of urgency to attain objectives.
• Computer agility in Windows and Meditech environments; willingness to adapt to new technologies as introduced by facility.
• Skills in performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities required.
• Skills in interpersonal relationships with the ability to get along with diverse personalities and ability to be tactful, mature and flexible required.
• Skills in reasoning, problem-solving, making effective decisions and using sound judgment required.
• Skills in time management with the ability to work independently and take initiative required. 
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing required.
• Ability to use tact, diplomacy and professionalism in all aspects of the position required.
• Computer keyboard and basic computer operating knowledge required; experience with Microsoft Office products and software relevant to duties preferred.
