Job Description
Salary:

Our client – The MECCA Group, LLC, is currently seeking a Licensed Psychology Associate (Clinic Based) for a full-time position.


Job Title:         Psychology Associate
Department:   Private Program
Reports To:     Clinic Program Manager
FLSA Status:   Exempt

Summary:  Provide clinic-based therapeutic and psychological assessment services.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following): 

  • Provide psychotherapy services.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations. 
  • Attend meetings associated with private clients.
  • Meet deadlines as designated by the company for submission of reports and notes.
  • Maintain documentation for all therapy clients and assessments and provide the proper documentation in the EMR and updates to the MECCA spreadsheet and to officers as requested.
  • Attend supervision as designated by the company.
  • Attend monthly didactic training as designated by the company.
  • Maintain timely response to phone and email communications with all parties involved, including company, private agency personnel, and clients.
  • Maintains the privacy of clients’ personal health information as required by state and federal law.
  • Report any suspected maltreatment of suspected abuse or neglect consistent with maltreatment reporting laws
  • Possesses a working knowledge of the use and operation of equipment; ensures proper use of equipment.
  • Monitors the condition of equipment and makes recommendations for maintenance and/or repair.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of emergency policy and procedure.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner; practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Maintain timely response to phone and email communications with all parties involved, including company and school personnel
  • Represent The MECCA Group, in the spirit in which the agency wishes to be represented in meetings and various events


Other Responsibilities:

  • Participate in mandatory Orientation, HIPPA, Ethics, and Mandatory Abuse reporter training, as required.
  • Maintaining timely communication with supervisors


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications: 

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentialduty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

Education and Experience: 

  • Masters, Advanced Education, or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
  • Completion of one-year full-time internship providing therapy and conducting assessments
  • At least 6 months post graduate experience
  • At least one-year experience working with special needs populations
  • Familiarity with IDEA.


Communication Skills: 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as psychological evaluations, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write psychological evaluation reports, routine reports, and professional correspondence with proper usage and grammar.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization in person and by telephone.


Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
