Inventory Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for the daily receiving and verifying inbound quantities and quality of products. This role requires strong attention to detail, clear/concise communication skills, and a proven record of effective analysis of inventory variances and directing put away.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Track sales and trends while balancing current inventory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels of assigned product lines in order to meet customer requirements and market conditions.
• Order/procure assigned product lines, typically non-specialty items.
• Input daily buy sheet.
• Analyze potential shortages, provide guidance as to sales volume.
• Communicate with Vendors via email and phone to resolve problems that arise.
• General Office tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong math and analytical skills, including sales projections and shipping demands.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to make rational decisions.
• Ability to determine quality vs. cost.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and have strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated.
• Food Industry experience a plus.
