The Director of Estimating will serve as a Leader of the Quality Assurance team, focused on our remote Estimating division. The primary responsibility of the position is to lead, manage, and hold accountable individuals and teams in helping Paul Davis Offices improve performance management to customer-service level requirements; and SMART goal creation to drive for operational and brand excellence in the services we provide. The Director of Estimating will support our carrier partners vendor management team with applicable reporting, estimate writing, and ongoing file management. The Director of Estimating will be responsible for performance on account scorecards and internal accountability metrics. The Director of Estimating will also support the Account Manager(s) in direct carrier meetings to support growth in managed accounts.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Builds, expands, and manages centralized, remote estimating division of the Quality Assurance team, driving network performance with residential insurance and commercial clients for full-service direct managed repair agreements.
  • Serves are primary driver of the success of the remote estimating program offered through the Quality Assurance team.
  • Provides support and KPI performance accountability for Team Managers.
  • Ensures that all service level agreements, carrier/commercial guidelines, estimating best practices, and IICRC standards are met or exceeded through the remote estimating program.
  • Ensures that team and team member is exceeding the minimum standard for estimate accuracy, review cycle time, customer service, and other applicable metrics.
  • Ensures that each employee is adhering to the department compliance standards.
  • Responsible for recruiting, selecting, hiring, onboarding, and training team members.
  • Supervise, manage, and provide team support with setting SMART Goals and completing Goal Setting & Review (GS&R) meetings with Team Managers focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Assists with creation and revisions of estimating and program guidelines.
  • Supervises and works directly with team administrators to ensure accurate and timely internal claims distribution advance department and organizational goals.
  • Communicates effectively with direct reports, supervisor, franchisees, and insurance carrier partners.
  • Assists team during claim spikes to help with coordination of claims, estimate writing and estimate reviews of all job types, program and non-program.
  • Provides trend analysis of internal performance to supervisor and participates in problem solving sessions to address gaps.
  • Assist VP of Quality Assurance as needed for customer account management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, Share Point)

  • Ability to create estimate and documentation reviews in a timely manner
  • Ability to review water mitigation and mold estimates
  • Ability to work office equipment (fax, scanner, printer, phone system, computers)
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Ability to conceptualize, be self-driven, and have exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to pass and maintain a satisfactory background check
  • Ability to maintain a level of confidentiality

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or some college
  • 7 plus years experience with estimation principles for the insurance industry
  • 3 plus years of supervisory/management experience
  • Restoration or construction experience
  • Experience creating, implementing, and providing ongoing management for direct managed repair programs

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Personnel management and coaching experience
  • Bachelors degree or 10 years work experience in claims or related field
  • Restoration or property and casualty industry experience supporting carrier repair programs.
Work Environment
The employee will be working indoors. The employee will be exposed to air conditioning and heat. The employees will be exposed to normal noises throughout the office. Most work will be conduct over email, video conferencing, and telephone. Employee must use provided VPN technology to securely connect remotely. The successful person must be productive with minimal supervision.

Travel
This position may require up to 25% travel. This position may require travel to franchise locations, trainings, and team or carrier meetings.
