Grocery/Retail Point of Sale Software Technician

Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Technician to assist in the maintenance and support point-of-sale related software solutions. In this role you should be detail-oriented and  able to meet the needs of the company while communicating internally within our organization. You will be part of a team responsible for providing top notch customer service in a technical position.

Job Overview:

Duties include being responsible for the development, deployment, and support of software services either remotely or on site.

Maintaining, modifying, and/or enhancing point of sale software functionality to include customer specific customizations.

Work with 3rd party product offerings for seamless integrations into the point-of-sale ecosystem.

Perform help desk trouble-shooting, remote support, system setup and upgrade of point of sale systems and their components. On-site deployment and customer training may also be required.

Communicate with clients in a professional manner to give explanations and updates of work performed. 

Maintain required records and reports as directed.

A top candidate will complete a 90 day paid evaluation period to demonstrate qualities needed for continued employment at DCR. Assigned duties during evaluation will be based on company needs and candidate experience, and may differ from the listed job description.

Fully Remote Positions are available depending on Geographical location.

Job Skills/Experience:

1+ years of Javascript experience (EXT-JS preferred)

1+ years of SQL experience (Basic Queries/ User Rights) and/or 1+ years of C#/ .netCore experience 

High School or Equivalent, College or Technical School

Previous experience with computer hardware, windows operating systems, and networking infrastructures, 

Advance verbal and written communication skills, and personal presentation.

Regular attendance and ability to work flexible hours including overnights, overtime and on-call rotation which includes weekends and holidays are required.

Must be able to travel overnight occasionally, potentially for a few days.

Must pass a background check, drug test, have a clean driving record, a valid TN driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

Compensation is based on an hourly rate paid weekly with 40-55 hours per week typical. DCR offers a comprehensive package including health care, 401(k), paid holidays, paid vacation days and life insurance. Starting salary varies based on experience.
