Landscape Estimator/ Landscape sales
Bloom Partners has been engaged by a Commercial Landscape company in the Plano, TX market to recruit and hire a customer-facing Landscape Estimator / Landscape Sales to join their landscape maintenance team.
Highlights of the position:
- Selling to existing commercial landscape maintenance clientele mostly
- A large volume of sales comes from existing clients
- Customer Base consists of industry-leading large multi-family management and commercial groups
- Project sizes: $25k - $1 mil
- Mostly self-performed work and subcontractor management when needed
- No crew management
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Account Manager/Estimator will be tasked to sell and assist in managing landscape installation projects ranging from $25K to $1M+. The ideal candidate should be career-oriented, self-motivated, and will thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where taking care of your customers is always a top priority. This position will have the opportunity to shape the processes of the growth-oriented culture via leadership functions and job planning through daily dashboards and client relationships.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS include:
- Competitive Base Salary and Commissions on ALL sales and annual bonus
- Compensation: $65k - $85k plus commissions

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling appointments, meeting existing customers to review client needs and determining other opportunities
- Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically on a daily basis
- Designing professional demonstrations or presentations of company products or services while on-site
- Liaising between the company and the customers for up-to-date conditions on pricing, service, and latest product release launches
- Generating and developing non-member business accounts to increase revenue, through cold calling
- Continuously updating all customers on company product modifications, changes, and enhancements
- Enhancing up to date knowledge of new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings
- Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner
- Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
- Organizing joint sale calls and attending them with vendors
- Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining expense accounts
- Performing updating and maintenance of accounts of customers including contact names and numbers for future sales
- Providing product quotes to customers as needed
- Ensuring follow-up after passing leads to managers with complete profile customer information, calls-to-action, sources, dates
- Communicate with customers and get responses (RFI) for questions or discrepancies in scope
- Type up proposals
- Follow up with customers and get feedback on jobs bid.
- Track change orders and bill appropriately.
- Maintain positive working relationships with customers.
- Perform job walks and field take-offs fields requested (required).
- Provide direction to field supervisors and foremen when there are scope questions.
- Attend Sub-Contractor coordination meetings when required.
- Manage projects and optimize profit.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Horticulture, or related field is preferred
- Experience as a project leader/manager, construction-based superintendent, or field services leader
- Strong organizational skills that allow you to be efficient and structured with a commitment to accuracy, deadlines, and performance
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office technologies and tools
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus
- Knowledge of safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices, and public/customer service skills
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements
- Proven customer service skills
- 4+ years of previous Landscape and sales experience
- 4+ years of Landscape Estimating experience
- Current State of Texas Driver's License and have own transportation (job sites are not always served by public transportation) as well as great driving skills
- Must be able to read and estimate from plans/blueprints
