Now Hiring: Pool Operations Manager

Location: Pataskala, OH | Full-Time Onsite | Reports to: Director of Operations

This leadership position focuses on operational excellence, employee development, scheduling, quality control, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across multiple areas of the department.

About the Role

The Pool Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Pool Division while supporting field teams, coordinating resources, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and to Hidden Creek's quality standards.

This role partners closely with field leaders, office staff, customers, vendors, and subcontractors to keep operations running smoothly while developing high-performing teams and improving overall department performance.

What You'll Do

Operations Leadership (25%)

Oversee daily operations of the Pool Division.

Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and scheduling.

Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements.

Support multiple concurrent projects and priorities.

Team Leadership & Development (20%)

Coach, mentor, and develop Foremen and field employees.

Conduct performance conversations and provide accountability.

Build a culture centered on safety, communication, and continuous improvement.

Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.

Safety & Quality (20%)

Promote a safety-first culture.

Conduct field inspections and quality audits.

Ensure company policies and OSHA standards are followed.

Drive quality throughout every phase of operations.

Customer & Vendor Relations (15%)

Serve as a leadership resource for customer concerns.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.

Resolve field issues proactively.

Ensure excellent communication throughout project execution.

Financial & Operational Performance (10%)

Review labor productivity and operational metrics.

Monitor purchasing and resource utilization.

Assist with budgeting and operational planning.

Identify opportunities to improve profitability.

Administrative Leadership (10%)

Maintain operational reports and documentation.

Monitor schedules and production progress.

Assist leadership with forecasting and planning.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in construction, field operations, landscaping, pool construction, or a related industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading multiple field crews, supervisors, or operational teams
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, resource planning, and operational execution
  • Experience managing budgets, labor productivity, purchasing, and operational costs
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and hold employees accountable for performance
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and construction or operations management software
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing residential pool construction, landscape construction, or similar field operations
  • Experience with Buildertrend, LMN, Aspire, or other construction/project management software
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Experience improving operational processes, KPIs, and department efficiency
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and customer relationships
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
