• As a Sr. Network Engineer, you will work closely with our Service Desk, Infrastructure, Enterprise Application Support, and Cybersecurity engineering teams to provide guidance, architecture, deployment, escalation support, administration, maintenance, and upgrades of our network infrastructure.

• Network Architecture, Deployment, Administration, Escalations & Problem Solving
• Provide input on the tactical and operational planning including initiative identification, technology recommendations, prioritization, scoping and establishing next steps to move them forward
• Assist in the planning and execution of tactical and strategic technical projects, initiatives, and escalations
• Architect, deploy, administer, maintain, and support TCP/IP switching and routing protocols.
• Architect, deploy, administer, maintain, and support Palo Alto, NetScaler, VMware NSX-T, Meraki, Cisco, Azure and additional vendors for WAN, SD-WAN, LAN and wireless technologies.
• Support and maintain the latest firmware versions for all network related devices and software.
• Assist the Service Desk, Infrastructure, Enterprise Apps, and Cybersecurity engineering teams with resolving escalated support incidents and problems.
• Perform RCA (Root Cause analysis) and RFO (Reason for Outage) investigations to contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement
• Work with vendors and their support channels
• Monitor and report on network systems and improve availability, reliability, and performance
• Administer, maintain, and support network device lifecycle management
• Provide routine reporting and communication of technical changes, updates and upgrades to teams and management
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: ​

• Proactively evaluate and implement processes and procedures that optimize individual and team productivity through training, coaching, planning, and oversight of day-to-day operations
• Update, maintain, and improve documentation including standard operation procedures (SOPs) and processes
• Work with all members of the IT department to maintain a zero-trust security architecture to ensure that our systems are protected and secure
• Maintain system integrity and performance through active monitoring, logging, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolution
• Improve system performance including hardware and software replacement, upgrade, capacity planning, sizing, and optimization
• Remain Client of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the 
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience performing IT technical support
• Minimum 10 years of experience with TCP/IP switching and routing protocols and the OSI model
• Minimum 10 years of experience with DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN, wireless, firewall and VPN technologies
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SD-WAN technology
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Meraki, VMware NSX-T and Palo Alto solutions
• Experience implementing and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure networking services preferred
• Experience working within the financial industry preferred
• BA/BS degree with an emphasis in IT/IS, Computer Science preferred or equivalent combination of experience and relevant certifications
• Palo Alto PCNSE and/or VMware VCP-NV certifications preferred
• Familiarity with ITIL and Project Management frameworks preferred
• Strong prioritization, problem solving, diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact positively and effectively in group and individual situations at all levels within and outside the credit union
• Ability to work in a team environment, meet deadlines, and take on a high level of responsibility and accountability
