Under general supervision, the Jobsite Superintendent / Project Manager is responsible for the on-site management of assigned projects through the direction and coordination of the efforts of field labor, trade contractors and vendors to ensure that the project is safely and successfully completed within an established budget, in the time frame allowed and with the quality standards and customer satisfaction desired.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in bidding certain phases of the projects including subcontractor and supplier prequalification and selection along with putting together potential change orders for the Sr. Project Manager to present to the client.

2. Supervise the work of employees who may be assigned to work on the project such as general labor.

3. Manage and enforce company safety policy on jobsite and among subcontractors. Maintain required safety documentation onsite as required, issue violation notices and accident reports as required.

4. Manage the construction schedule by scheduling the necessary subcontractors in the time frame they are needed and ensure they stay on schedule to complete their phase of the project on time with the quality of work up to company standard.

5. Maintain a record of all daily jobsite activities on the designated company record-keeping documents such as daily logs and pictures. Upload to the company server.

6. Maintains a Potential Change Order workbook keeping it accurate to current costs and projections.

7. Develop and maintain a Project Construction Schedule coordinating the same with the Client, subcontractors, and suppliers.

8. Prepare for and create agenda to conduct subcontractor and owner meetings.

9. Reviews submittals and field checks dimensions.

10. Foresee potential problem areas and develop methods to solve problem situations.

11. Ensure the proper materials are delivered to the job site in a timely manner and that the quantity and quality of all materials are what is required for the job

12. Arrange for the rental of necessary equipment and assure the most efficient use of such equipment. See that equipment is delivered/picked up in time and returned promptly when no longer needed.

13. Ensure the job site including the job office is clean and orderly and manage the subcontractors to ensure they maintain a clean and orderly workplace.

14. Perform physical / skilled labor as necessary to assure timely completion of a project.

15. Attend and participate in company meetings as required.

16. Promote and support the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety and Health Programs and Drug-Free Workplace Policy.

17. Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Business Ethics and Conduct Policy

18. Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of five (5) years of construction management experience.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising other employees.

Must have reliable transportation to get to various work sites.

Must be familiar with conventional construction drawings.

Must be proficient in using Microsoft Windows and related Microsoft Office software systems.

Must be physically able to assist our employees and subcontractors’ employees with some amount of lifting, pushing and pulling (up to 90 pounds).

Must be able to effectively supervise the work of other employees

Must be able to coordinate the work of other contractors and sub contractors

Must have excellent communication skills

Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and (*) maintain proper vehicle liability insurance. Must meet all vehicle operation requirements as designated by federal and/or state law.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Commercial construction: 1 year (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
