Audiology Technician - Caruso Family Center for Childhood Communication - Full Time 8 Hour Days (...

Performs complex and varied administrative and clinical assignments. Must have well developed skills to enhance interaction with patients, Clinicians, staff, and outside departments in order to address problems, issues or concerns that require attention. Assists in management of clinical unit operations.. Clinical responsibilities include assisting audiologists with diagnostic hearing and balance testing, repair of hearing aids, preparing patients for testing, maintaining equipment and other clinic assignments under direct supervision of the audiologist. Reports to the Clinic manager

Must adopt Keck Service Credo and Known Service Standards and Values. Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology.

Minimum Education:
High school education.
Bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders preferred

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
1 year experience in relevant field,
experience working technically with hearing devices
strong computer skills
Strong communication skills

Required License/Certification:
CA state registration as audiology assistant
Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
