Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview of Position
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing key business metrics; analyzing data to identify improvement opportunities; and providing business requirements for system enhancements to improve processes throughout the business unit. This role will provide business reporting and analytic models, metric best practices, and translate business needs into system and data requirements. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be working with data analysts and engineering to help define relevant solutions; and manage user expectations.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Work with data analysts, interview stakeholders to identify business requirements, and create specifications for reports and analysis
• Assist in identifying data requirements and sources; and translate them into prioritized product backlog
• Provide project management for individual reporting/analytic deliverables; coordinate among stakeholders to successfully deliver incremental capabilities on time and on budget, including training for successful deployment
• Aid business decision-makers to analyze complex business questions to achieve actionable data-driven insight
• Acts as a mentor to other analysts, sharing knowledge and experience to achieve high value from the delivered reports and analytics
• Travel up to 5%

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related work experience
• 7+ years of experience in a business analyst or technical analyst role supporting complex reporting and analytics requirements in healthcare
• 7+ years of experience with provider and payer data needs as well as clearinghouse data types such as ANSI X.12
• 7+ years of experience providing successful project management
• Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as TIBCO Spotfire

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Advanced degree in Business or Science
• Experience working in a Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) based product environment and related tools such as JIRA
• Previous experience supporting product-based analytics
• Knowledge of Tableau; working knowledge of data warehouse and database technology including AWS cloud tools
• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with keen attention to detail
• Able to collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to accomplish program goals
