Added bonus - now offering a $5,000 hire-on incentive for this role!!! Bonus is paid in two installments ($2,500 after 90 days of active employment, and the second $2,500 after 180 days of maintaining active employment with us). Also offering relocation support up to $5,000 as needed for candidates that would be relocating outside the Greater Bay Area.

The Production Supervisor is a critical member to our Operations team and is responsible to direct the activities of employees engaged in manufacturing activities including but not limited to training and supervising, maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with production, quality and safety standards and established policies and procedures. This position is on our graveyard shift and is the perfect spot for any night owl! Schedule is Sunday-Thursday, start time of 7:00pm. WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS (Essential Duties):

•Supervises production line set-up including but not limited to testing and adjusting line equipment prior to operation and ensuring production line starts on schedule.

•Supervises all production activities performed by employees; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees throughout the shift, focusing day-to-day on the baking/mixing area but responsible for the entire shift in the absence of the production manager.

•Maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.

•Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.

•Reports equipment problems to appropriate department and production manager.

•Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.

•Assists manager in forecasting staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staff team accordingly; trains, motivates, coaches, evaluates performance, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues.

•Coordinates with the production manager to manage personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, time card approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.

•Performs required administrative tasks; prepares required reports and correspondence.

•Assists production manager with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by employees.

•Inspects for proper sanitation of equipment and facilities; takes corrective action to resolve deficiencies.

•Resolves production-related issues with representatives from other department throughout the company

•Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.

•Maintains safety programs and all required safety training for employees.

•Assists Production Manager with train new employees in Nav transactions

•Drill-down using jet reports and Nav reports to identify efficiency offenders

•Manages and execute daily production needs to meet sales and inventory demand

•Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR (Qualifications Needed):

•Associates Degree and two to four years related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education

•Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates

•Commitment to excellence and high standards

•Excellent written and oral communication skills in the primary language(s) used in the workplace

•Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

•Ability to manage priorities and workflow

•Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

•Proficient on Microsoft and other software needed to complete duties

•Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

•Strong interpersonal skills

•Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels

•Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

•Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions

•Ability to perform the physical labor necessary

•Bilingual in Spanish highly desired

THE PAY: Competitive base salary with applied shift differential (total annual salary range $55,000 - $70,000 which includes the differential) DOE.
