Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

-Part-time position with flexible hours.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside our dentists, providing quality patient care and assisting with dental procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. No experience needed but is a plus! We are always willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by ensuring they are clean and properly stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them tools, taking x-rays, and performing other necessary tasks.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines.
- Take and develop dental x-rays as needed.
- Provide support to the front desk by scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and managing insurance claims.
- Assist with office administrative tasks, such as maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and updating patient files.

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of dental software systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- CPR certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as dental equipment.
- Good vision and depth perception.
