Engineering Manager

Overview:
Hepburn and Sons LLC is seeking an Engineering Manager to support several Navy, DoD, and Government customers, conducting systems engineering and integration for platforms (ship, submarine, craft, vehicle) and modular mission or flexible payload systems that require expertise in the fields of HM&E Open System Architecture (OSA) development.
This is a contingent position based on award/funding from the customer.

Responsibilities:- May include responsibilities under the following areas:
- HM&E Open System Architecture (OSA) Development Support
- Requirements Traceability Support
- HM&E Architecture Verification and Validation
- Program Management Support
- Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following Engineering disciplines:
- Aerospace, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine (also known as “Ocean”), or Naval Architecture (also known as “Naval Engineering”).
- Secret level clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Approximately fifteen (15) years of verifiable experience in planning, directing, and coordinating engineering programs for the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or Military Sealift Command. The 15 years of experience must include at least some experience in all of the following:
- Organizing, managing, and executing activities that pertain to Navy platform and subsystem development programs, with relevant applications of HM&E open systems architecture
- Formulating programs, developing budgets and schedules, and coordinating efforts for multiple tasks.
- Effectively acting as liaison with government and contractor management.
- Understanding DoD requirements, policies, and procedures related to R&D programs.
- A minimum of five years in Navy platform design activities; including the preparation of engineering calculations; platform design studies, and development of cost estimates.
