About NSC

NSC is a national staffing firm specializing in marine, skilled trades, industrial, and professional workforce solutions. We are seeking a Marine Recruiter to join our Honolulu team and support hiring efforts for marine and skilled trades positions.


Position Summary

The Marine Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates for marine, general labor, firewatch, and skilled trades roles. This position manages the recruitment process from initial outreach through onboarding while ensuring a positive candidate experience and compliance with customer and company requirements.

This is a fully onsite position in a small branch office with a high level of administrative responsibility. In addition to recruiting, the role includes candidate processing, onboarding, and coordinating requirements for Navy base access. During slower hiring periods, the recruiter will focus on talent pipelining and maintaining candidate relationships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source, screen, and qualify candidates for open positions
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews
  • Post jobs and support recruiting initiatives
  • Guide candidates through onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Process candidate paperwork and assist with Navy base access requirements
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity
  • Partner with hiring managers to support hiring needs and workforce planning
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations


Qualifications

Required:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Recruiter, Recruiting Coordinator, Talent Acquisition Assistant, Sourcer, HR Assistant, or similar role
  • Strong communication, organization, and administrative skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Ability to pass a background check

Preferred:

  • Staffing or agency recruiting experience
  • Experience recruiting within marine, manufacturing, industrial, construction, or skilled trades environments
