If so, we have an incredible opportunity for you...The Seattle Human Services Department's (HSD) Human Resources Division is seeking an Out of Class S enior Diversity Recruiter to lead the work of HR's recruitment and hiring team. This position develops work objectives to meet workforce planning and recruitment and hiring goals. The position oversees daily recruitment & hiring events, pilots innovative hiring and recruitment strategies, recommends candidate sourcing strategies and provide recruitment & training for customers.

This position designs and develops staffing, recruitment , and diversity strategies in support of the department's work goals. This position provide s lead direction to one or two recruiters and reports directly to the Human Resources Operations Supervisor.Human Services Department (HSD), a department of the City of Seattle, funds and operates programs and services that meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable people our community - families and individuals with low incomes, children, domestic violence and sexual assault victims, homeless people, seniors, and persons with disabilities. We invest in programs that help people gain independence and success.Job Responsibilities Provide consultation, advice and hiring strategies to hiring managers: Work with HM to advertise job posting to agencies, partners and community members for intended audience Go over ethnic data; analyze gaps of employee demographics Recommend sourcing and interviewing techniques; develop job announcements and social media advertisements Review job description to make sure it aligns with class/spec and has the language to attract the right candidates Review interview questions and SME/Interview benchmarks to ensure it aligns with desired candidate qualifications Oversee and support hiring manager throughout the hiring process Ensure documentation is filed and recruitment tracker is updated Train, coach, and lead recruiters on best practices, processes, and policies including: Communication/Transition from recruiter to HRIS/onboarding Refresh HRIS: NeoGov , EV-5, Access Report OOC/TES process and HSD internal process J:Drive organization Oversee interim hiring processes - temporary and out-of-class programs.

Coordinate internal and external reassignment and loan agreements. Monitor workforce demographics and trends. Partner with hiring managers to identify need for targeted recruitment or other equity endeavors.

Partner with HR team, employees , and managers to conduct equity analyses around HSD hiring practices; assess effectiveness, identify opportunities for improvements and recommend best practices. Partner in the design of HSD's recruitment and retention strategy to support employee growth and development and business sustainability. Research best practices and strive to be an emerging thought leader.

Successful individuals demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities, are good at problem-solving and conflict resolution, are customer-centric and appreciate the need to have fun with their HR teams!QualificationsEducation : A Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or a related field.Experience : Two years of increasingly responsible experience developing, managing, facilitating and evaluating recruitment and hiring processes, conducting diversity recruitment and candidate sourcing; experience in identifying and addressing inequities in recruitment and hiring processes.Education/Experience Equivalency : Combinations of appropriate education, training, certification and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability to the minimum education and experience requirements.Desired Qualifications: One year of experience leading
