Job Description

Position Title: QA Tester
Location: Tysons Corner, VA with Telework Options (currently mostly telework due to COVID)
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance. Due to the nature of this government contract, U.S. Citizenship is required.

NEOSTEK, an Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Company, is seeking a QA Tester. The candidate will work as a member of a team to provide quality assurance and software testing services to the client. The successful candidate should have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with MS Dynamics/D365.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications
  • Execute test cases and analyze results
  • Evaluate product code according to specifications
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Help troubleshoot issues
  • Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Required Skills:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen. Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation.
  • Hands-on experience and successful track record in performing quality assurance and software testing.
  • Must have knowledge of SharePoint, O365, and Microsoft Technologies.
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics/D365 strongly preferred.
  • Working closely with other members of the team to participate in requirements revalidation.
  • Design, document and maintain, and execute test plans and test cases.
  • Regression test software fixes for new and existing functionality.
  • Assist developers with replicating and debugging problems.
  • Excellent trouble shooting, problem solving skills, and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent writing skills, specifically in writing Test Plans, Test Scripts, and recording Test Results.
  • Actively work with other members of the team to constantly improve the process, tools and effectiveness of the team.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience working as quality assurance / software tester on Federal government projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Configure and use automated testing tools where appropriate to support testing and regression testing activities.
