Crestron is hiring a Government Account Manager to drive sales opportunities for Department of Defense (DoD) US Navy and US Marine Corps.  Our top producers are technology strategists, who think outside of the box to develop and deliver solutions for their clientele and are relentless in their pursuit to drive results.  They are trusted advisors on matters relating to Crestron’s product offerings, they know how to leverage government relationships and can displace the competition.We are looking for a hunter, someone with the desire to win!  In this role you will demonstrate and foster the Crestron culture of individual responsibility and accountability, take control of revenue targets and forge a plan of action to exceed this goal.   Are you a relentless achiever in a fast paced, competitive industry?   Are you are tenacious, hungry, self motivated? 

 

Our Government Account Managers will target Department of Defense (DOD) US Navy and USMC opportunities while working in collaboration with our AV dealer channel sales teams, Distribution sales team and Alliance teams. You will develop and execute account strategy to maximize Crestron’s revenues including strategic planning and positioning of the complete Crestron product family, sales engagements, trainings and speaking engagements for your named accounts.

 

This is a remote position covering DoD military bases & administrative office locations, requiring as much as 60% travel.  We prefer a candidate in eiher Washington D.C.metro or San Diego. Will consider strong Govt DoD Sales candidates in Seattle or Charleston. 


In this role --

  • You will be developing business opportunities with DOD government entities; positioning "end-to-end" AV/UC/Cloud solutions and articulate Crestron strategies
  • You may be working with Government contractors, dealers, IT architects, and key decision makers to create proposed Crestron business solution.
  • You will identify opportunities, develop relationships, leverage resources, and communicate the Crestron business proposition to State & Local government customers at technical and executive levels within target accounts.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating with sales, technical sales, product, and marketing teams to provide solutions and drive business back through our reseller channel to close the sale and meeting and exceeding all quarterly and annual sales quotas and activities goals.
  • You will use Salesforce CRM to track leads and maintain sales funnel
  • It is essential that you are knowledgeable in Crestron technical solutions, and bring enthusiasm for new technology and its uses within the government vertical market. Any knowledge of government bid processes and procurement would be helpful in this role. (e.g. NIWC, NAVAR, etc.)

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience selling Audio Visual / Video-Teleconferencing / Information Technology solutions to the Federal Government
  • Successful track record of solution sales and relationship management with notable accomplishments
  • Must have a technical background in AV, VTC, IT or Telecommunications field
  • Prior experience operating within government contract vehicles - preferred
  • Self-motivated, competitive, with a results-driven attitude 
  • Ability to travel up to 60% to specific DoD locations, e.g. San Diego, D.C. Seattle, Charleston, and industry events 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exceptional planning, organization and time management skills; self-starter.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity; good judgment.   
  • Prior CRM experience, Salesforce a plus
  • Knowledge of government bid and procurement processes would be a plus
  • Knowledge Government Contracting Department of Defense (DoD) terms for working with contracting offices at military bases and DoD agencies.
  • 4 year college degree -- preferred
  • Valid U.S. Drivers' license.
