Mechanical Engineer

Foxconn Wisconsin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer that will work as part of the manufacturing team in the application of the principles and problem-solving techniques of engineering from design to manufacturing.  Once part of the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the maintenance department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing. 

The Mechanical Engineer will be primarily responsible for successful product launches as well as successful implementation of iAI products at customer’s site.

Responsibilities Include:

·       Plan, create, and test mechanical and electromechanical designs.

·       Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.

·       Test AI algorithms on machines, generate detailed documentation. 

·       Collaborate with data scientists to collect data from machines.

·       Communicate with customers, vendors, and contractors.

·       Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, and requesting special services.

·       Other Duties as Assigned 

Education Requirements, Ideal Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.

·       Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures such as SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Fusion 360.

·       Basic programming skills in Python.

·       Hands-on mechanical assembly experience.

·       Strong presenting and communication skills.

·       Ability to effectively work on a team and possess patience.

·       Experience with project management is a plus.
